MCP documentation

Myriade exposes an MCP server so your AI assistant can query the databases connected to Myriade, with their catalog, access rules and guardrails. Start with the address and authentication, then follow the guide for your assistant and database.

Why connect through Myriade

Server address

On the shared Myriade Cloud instance, the MCP server is at the address below, over Streamable HTTP. If you self-host Myriade, it is served on your own host at /mcp, shown under Settings → Integrations → Connect apps to Myriade.

Authentication

OAuth (recommended): each person signs in with their Myriade account. The assistant then acts with that person's identity, role and access rules, and the session renews automatically.
Access token: a Myriade admin creates a myr_… token under Settings → Integrations, to pass in the Authorization: Bearer header. The token acts with the rights of the admin who created it and can be revoked at any time.
ChatGPT only accepts OAuth. Claude Code, Gemini CLI, VS Code, Copilot Studio and Le Chat also accept a token.

List databases and tables, read schemas and samples, run read-only SQL, rerun saved queries.

Limits and guardrails

SQL is read-only: every query is parsed and any write is rejected, even in a subquery.
At most 50 rows go back to the assistant per query; samples are capped at 20 rows.
Each query has a maximum duration (120 s by default) and results are capped at 2 MB.
Protected columns stay masked, for the assistant too.

Claude supports remote MCP servers. Add Myriade once, then Claude queries your databases with your access rights.

Gemini

Gemini reaches remote MCP servers from Gemini CLI, from Gemini Enterprise (added by an admin) and, in the US, from custom apps in the Gemini app.

Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft Copilot reaches MCP servers in two places: Copilot Studio agents and GitHub Copilot in VS Code.

Le Chat

Le Chat, Mistral's assistant (now called Vibe), supports custom MCP connectors added by URL, with OAuth or a bearer token.
